AI girlfriend memory is how an app keeps track of what you have told your companion so she can refer to it later. Different apps implement this differently, so quality varies. Memory also is not perfect: an AI can still forget, mix up details or state something wrong.
How to test an AI girlfriend’s memory
Try this over three or four days:
- Tell her three specific facts: a pet’s name, a favourite food, an upcoming event.
- Chat about other things for a day or two.
- Ask indirect questions, such as “What should I cook tonight?” or “Any ideas for my weekend?”
- See whether she brings up what you shared without being reminded.
Memory that shows up naturally is far more convincing than memory you have to prompt.
What memory means for privacy
Remembering you means storing information about you. Before you share a lot, check:
- Where is memory kept: on your device or on servers?
- Can you view, edit or delete what she remembers?
